Pre-Launch is LIVE for Eldric the Wizard!
That’s it. The title is the announcement! Our Kickstarter pre-launch page is officially up, and it’s the first step toward getting Eldric the Wizard and the Helpful New Neighbour into print.

What is a Pre-Launch Campaign?
A pre-launch page is essentially the campaign before the campaign. It’s an early look at what is to come for folks interested in supporting. For the creators though, it is a fantastic way to gauge initial interest and a means to increase the extent to which the campaign can be found by people outside of our networks.
The Pre-Launch page is meant to create excitement. Our page includes the promotional video for the campaign that we recently created, as well as an introduction to the project. This will hopefully be enough to encourage people to want more. The hope is that most sign-ups will be Day 1 backers.
The sign-ups also help the campaign become more prominent on Kickstarter. A Pre-launch campaign with a lot of potential backers signed up for notification makes it more likely that the team at Kickstarter will see the project. Being on their radar is a GOOD THING! Kickstarter has over 3 million social media followers – a post from them could be a major groundswell of support. Outside of that though, the real prize would be a “Project We Love” tag. On Kickstarter, this tag is assigned by the team to campaigns that they feel have momentum to succeed AND have been thoughtfully put together. Kickstarter campaigns have a 42% success rate. Campaigns tagged as “Project We Love” have the success rate jump to 89%. It’s a massive boost.
So, even people who may not be looking to expand their child’s library right now can support us by signing up for project notifications. It’s the first step to ensuring that our project has the visibility we hope for.
The Crowdfunding Campaign Will Launch Soon!
We explained in our last post we shared what inspired this campaign. Today, you have the chance to support our pre-launch campaign. However, the main event… the ability to purchase the book… is right around the corner. While we have not yet announced our launch date, I can tell you its soon. And once we do launch, support in first 24 or 48 hours is critical for us.
